Joined an Aussie Hop along today and it feels a little weird posting this in our “normal” time as opposed to 2am in the morning lol.
The theme for this hop is Pattern Party and I’ve used this opportunity as a great way to use up scraps that accumulate. We all have them right – a pile a little bits that are too good to throw away but what are you going to use them for….
So here’s my take on the theme today. I hope it inspired you to get create and clear a little clutter from you craft space.

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock which is cut at 14 x 12 cm. On one side I have used 4 piece of tear and tape the length of the card stock. I have a heap of Designer Series paper strips that I’ve trimmed to 1cm wide. You don’t need to do that because I also like the way this looks when you have didn’t widths of scrap DSP. My card base will be Berry Burst cardstock so I’ve chosen DSP that will work well with that colour.

I’ve peeled back sections of the tape and started applying the paper strips. You can do them in any random order of you can create a repeating pattern (like I did for this one). Once the white card was full, I used the paper trimmer to cut down the middle of this panel – giving me two panels the were 6cmm wide – so one for another card as well.
I used more scraps of Fresh Freesia and Basic White cardstock and cut leaves using the Bough Punch and a piece for the sentiment in both colours using the Moodern Oval Punch. I cut the Fresh Freesia one in half and split it behind the white to frame it a little.

The sentiment was stamped using Friends for Life Stamp Set, Berry Burst and Momento Ink. A couple of Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments for a bit of sparkle. I’ve also used another scrap of white behind the DSP layer and created a squiggle with the Berry Burst Stampin Blends.
To assemble, just use your favourite adhesive and some dimensionals.
